What might a service involve?
This depends on the type of equipment, and if it’s being serviced for a specific reason.
A general service will include a comprehensive safety check, and may also include “where relevant” things like a pressure clean and dry, fixing
or replacing spokes, wheel/castor alignment, inspecting frames for cracks, tightening bolts and screws and more!
RKMRS tip of the week
Weather can be unpredictable, and a rain shower or storm may start when you’re already out.
Although your electric mobility aids should be able to withstand a little bit of water exposure, they need to be protected from prolonged water exposure.
Otherwise, you can expect some not-so-nice rust (and even possible malfunction and other damage).
Our recommendations:
- Where possible, try to find shelter until the rain passes
- Thoroughly dry your power equipment with a towel as soon as you can (making sure all surfaces are dry) and store in a dry place when not in use
- After water exposure, check the operation and brakes before using again for safety
- If there are any problems or issues, call us immediately so we can help evaluate the condition of your equipment, and advise if you need a service or repair to get you things back running smoothly
Benefits of choosing an RKMRS service/maintenance:
